Cooper ~ 3 Months

Time has flown by and it is almost time for me to go back to work... I cannot believe how much Cooper has grown and changed in just a few weeks. I have treasured every minute at home with him & loved watching him grow!  We squeezed in a few more family trips to Hot Springs & Lake Travis and look forward to many more travels soon!

Cooper Updates:
  • 10 weeks was a big week... Cooper officially slept through the night for several nights and rolled over all in one week!
  • Cooper loves when I sing old Camp Mystic songs to him, especially Weenie Man & Camp on the Guadalupe River...
  • He loves when I do "button, nose & toes"
  • Cooper loves playing with Daddy's old rattle... Jeff likes to play with him & "pump some iron"
  • Cooper had his first swim over at the Henrys in his redneck swimsuit... and yes, we now have a swimsuit (smocked, of course!)

Headed to the Henry's Pool!

      Road Trip... Lake Travis getaway

Off we went again... squeezing one more getaway in before I returned to work and to give Jeff a much needed break from work &enjoy time spent with the family.  We were so last minute in planning... as in, confirming the stay the morning we left town!  We headed back down to the Hill Country and rented a house on Lake Travis for some much needed R&R as a family.  The lake was low, but we certainly enjoyed relaxing, reading, cooking, hanging out by the pool & especially the visit from Tio Hampton.  We even took a nice dinner out at Hudson's on the Bend.  Cooper really enjoyed his first gourmet meal out on the town!

Road Trip... Hot Springs to visit MeMa & PaPa

Jeff, Cooper & I had been planning a weekend trip up to Hot Springs so Cooper could meet MeMa & PaPa before I went back to work and were excited when the weekend finally rolled around! We also went to celebrate Cindy & Uncle Skip's May Birthdays with dinner at Via Roma.  What a fun weekend with family and what a special treat for Cooper to spend time with both MeMa & PaPa.  Of course, first stop was McClard's BBQ to meet MeMa for lunch... Jeff had to make sure Cooper did not miss this.  Too bad he can't try the pork BBQ and the famous tamales, but I'm sure the moment he can start eating that stuff, Jeff will have him back to try it out!  I can certainly foresee a father son Arkansas BBQ Road Trip!

Cooper really loves sleeping in and cuddling with us in a big hotel bed... actually, I am pretty sure Jeff & I are the ones who love this while on vacation!  Cooper had a great time that morningrelaxing in the big bed, but I will spare you all the photo that came right after this picture.  Thank goodness for housekeeping!

The only stop missing from the trip was the Pancake Shoppe.  We were sad to miss it, but knew Sunday brunch at the HSCC would be the better choice for Cooper at this age... We will definitely be back soon so Cooper can enjoy the tradition of breakfast at the Pancake Shoppe with PaPa!

      Cooper ~ 2 Months

Cooper had a busy 2nd month and time flew by!  Besides the trip to Austin & Mother's Day, we stayed very busy and took advantage of Cooper's improved health and my time off work!

We enjoyed a few dinner dates & dinners out with Cooper, including some quality time with the Henry Family so Cooper & Harper could hang out.  Nancy came in town to visit Cindy from Vail and brought Cooper some goodies including his first pair of Cowboy Boots! We celebrated Jeff's birthday and the grandparents certainly enjoyed (and helped us greatly) by babysitting a few times for us - thank you! Cooper & I went to Ardmore, OK for a short trip with Sassie & Grand Doc to visit the Young Family and introduce Cooper to part of the "Dental Group" while Jeff was in San Fran for work. Cooper braved his 2 month check up and the shots... did I mention how much he had grown!??  Cooper clocked in at 9 lbs, 5 oz at his 2 month check up, which is a huge improvement from the 5 lbs he was down to while at Children's!

Cooper Update:  Cooper begin smiling this month at 6 weeks and also started cooing.  That gummy smile is just adorable and makes my heart melt!

Check out the video at the bottom. This is one of my favorite things - waking him up and unwrapping him from the swaddle... too cute!

      $2 Margarita night with Harper...
I have a feeling this is not the last time we'll see a pic like this of the two of them...
       Cancun anyone?

Harper, Amy, Cooper & Jeff... Cooper is certainly catching up to Harper in size!
Thanks Christine for our matching burp cloths!

Cooper's first Cowboy Boots - thanks Nan!

Cooper & Molly... wow, how he's grown!

Just a quick reminder on how small Cooper was compared to Molly
at 3 week vs. the above picture at 9 weeks!

A view from my perspective... full & happy
